Dr. Jacquie’s Corner Our family dentist informed me that Amy, my fourteen year old daughter, needs braces. Since getting the news, it’s been a battle in our home. She is refusing to wear braces. She told me about Invisalign® and I was under the assumption that Invisalign was just for adults. How old do you have to be to use Invisalign? Since it is removable, you must remember to wear the aligners all the time, except when eating or brushing your teeth, for your teeth to move. How do you or your teen clean the trays? The aligners must be kept clean and can be brushed with a toothbrush simultaneously when cleaning your teeth. Is your teen responsible enough to keep their in a safe, secure place when not wearing them?
